Used in Ayurvedic medicine, long pepper (Piper longum) has a pungent floral aroma but a hotter, earthier flavor than black pepper. A close relative to black peppercorms (Piper nigrum) and can be used in place of pepper. Our long pepper comes from India and you can find long pepper grown in Indonesia.
