Tiny light to dark brown seeds with five lighter ridges. The flavor is much more pronounced than its parent plant. The seeds are generally less available and it is typically found in celery salts or celery seasoning. It's most celebrated use is in Bloody Mary cocktails. Goes well in soups, stews, pickles, chutneys, salad dressings, mayonnaise for coleslaw and with fish, eggs, and cheeses. Can enhance pastry, savory biscuits and breads. |
